Finding
opportunity
in adversity
Accidental Chief Reinvention Officer
Chris Bordoni has been many things: All-American athlete, strategy consultant, cancer survivor, entrepreneur, business school professor, husband, and father.
The road to the present, however, has been a bit curvier (and rockier) than Chris would have liked.
Starting at age seventeen, Chris unexpectedly began a fifteen-year journey through injuries, illness, and professional setbacks that challenged him to re-consider who he was – and might be – as a person and professional.
In parallel, Chris’ early years with Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte Consulting, and the Civic Consulting Alliance introduced him to leaders genuinely attempting to do impossibly good things in their corner of the world.
Since then, Chris has spent his career helping others find opportunity in adversity.

Keynote Speaker
Chris is an international speaker on resilience, optimism, and the art of transforming challenges into opportunities.
His talks draw on fifteen years of helping clients navigate radical change, academic research, and a wealth of personal experience.
In each talk, his goal is to help leaders regain their sense of agency and leave inspired to begin transforming their organizations.
His most recent talk is “Stop Wasting (Good) Crises” (watch here).

Advisor and Coach
After his time at Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte Consulting, and Civic Consulting Alliance, Chris formed his own company, Bordoni & Company, in 2015.
Through his company, Chris works side-by-side with leaders to design and deliver workshops, coaching, and consulting engagements tailored to their unique context and objectives.
To date, Chris has helped more than 50 organizations navigate periods of radical change.

Business School Professor
In addition to his work as a speaker and advisor, Chris is an Associate Teaching Professor of Strategy & Business Economics at Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
In recognition of his work in the classroom, he has received several awards, including the Dean’s Distinguished Award for Societal Impact in Teaching. He was also chosen by his MBA students to deliver their “Last Lecture” prior to graduation (much to their surprise, he chose to speak about the life lessons one can learn from Hootie & the Blowfish)
In addition to his teaching at Cornell, Chris has taught at American University’s Kogod School of Business and guest lectured at the Darden School of Business.
